First of all, affected package is dropbear-initramfs, not dropbear.
Offending line in "/usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/init-
bottom/dropbear" script is supposed to kill all dropbear children.
There are two problems with it:
1. The "ps" command (part of busybox, of busybox-initramfs, here
1:1.
Glenn Moloney: The same problem - downgraded X.org consumes 1 CPU core,
while the system is completely useable. So - still waiting for
definitive solution of this one...

Hello David,
In my case:
- yes, it's present after upgrading from Intrepid to Jaunty
- i do not know, if it's present in Jaunty clean install - i did not try that,
but:
it's not user-profile (user-settings) related (= bug is present for newly
created users too)
- i've resolved this bug by down
After many experiments...
it seems to be xinerama bug in xorg-server-1.6.0 - and yes, xinerama is
activated even if you use only one display output. and yes - it is
build-in into xorg-server, and CAN'T be deactivated (tried every
possible option in xorg.conf)
The only solution, which works for me
it's xorg server bug, not related to any particular video driver
** Package changed: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) => xorg-server

The same after upgrading to Jaunty.
It seems to be:
- unrelated to used desktop enviromnent (gnome, xfce, kde)
- unrelated to video hardware / driver (I have Geforce FX 5200, tried both nv,
and nvidia drivers), and it seems other people with intel gpu do have the same
bug too
