I am having this same issue on 10.04 64 bit.
My GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1 GST_DEBUG=5 totem &> totem-debug.txt is
attached.
I tried totem_plugins_youtube.py.patch patch, but there is no
/usr/lib/totem/plugins/youtube/youtube.py.
When I run the patch I get the error

I am using Ubuntu 10.04 (64 bit), and at this point in time i am
experiencing this issue with the "nvidia" drivers every time there is a
kernel update. Mind you, i am using the lucid nvidia-current package, as
oppose the the installer from Nvidia's website.
