Oh.. the kernel upgrade of recent.. I think was 32.60 was very bad. the Black Screens more often , Freezes , corruptions , Mouse disappearances.. full hard crashes. I took it back , as suggested before, again to the 20.6.35-22.33 regression. I left in the grub change from above. { GRUB_CMDLIN

Ok.. now I am finding a Daily slow down of the system.. to the point of Freeze and Crash. I also have noticed that as it begins to this.. the screen saver turns black and the response time to and Key strike gets to the point of Nothing. I have to force a reboot. Something is wrong here.. some

Oooch.. Had to put that back right away. Reboot brought with it the Corruption. Updated the Grub line again and rebooted.. No corruption. We shall see how Newest Kernel Update does with the Jiffies comment in the Grub line. Glad that this is now considered a Medium Concern.. Wish some one would

I see this is now a MEDIUM concern. the fix above did nothing.. as a matter of fact.. they got worse. There was again another Kernel update.. I have allowed that and so far.. one day, I have no ill effects. Will show it as a solve if they not show up or will post to show they are still there.

ok.. it is the 19th of November. No one has answered in a long while.. the results of my regression test are.. there are less Freezes , Black Screens , corruptions of video or loss of mouse with the 20.6.35-22.33 than the newer Kernels and upstream modifications. Still no one to do anything? S

I went into synaptic and found the Linux headers that were New and Unintalled them there.. and reinstalled with earlier version .. 2.6.35-22.33 (linux-headers-2.6.35-22-generic) Will post notes on changes and if that helps the system.. may be when ya all chose to loo

Ok.. the New Updated Kernel is worse. Not only does it Freeze and Turn black.. but you can not just Blink in black and still see screen.. it full on Freezes so that you must use OFF button to reboot system. Still waiting for some one to pay attention to this Bug. ANY new ideas ? is there someth

The mouse issue has returned as well. Graphics corruption and disappearing mouse.. Hanging system.. and if music is playing , a 1 second loop in the hang. All as before. So.. I have just allowed my system to update the Kernel again to 2.6.35-22.35 x86/x86_64 via Update Manager's insistence.
