Derek, sorry, probably I've wrongly explained. Indeed, I mixed up
fullscreen and maximized modes in hedgewars. The bug is about maximized
window just after quit from fullscreen mode.
I do not want to use unity when the game is running. Quite the opposite
-- I don't expect to see Unity bars

with upstream kernel and got no oops. Yesterday and today I got 2
oopses with Ubuntu's kernel after ~15 suspends.

menu, no unity elements are visible. The same while playing. But after
the game is over, the scores screen appears, the unity elements become

No, just after the start no menu is visible in the main menu.
start hedgewars - main menu (unity is _NOT_ visible) - start game
(unity is not visible) - return to main menu (unity _IS_ visible) -
start new game again (unity is not visible again).

I'm sorry for confusing, the assist key actually works. Showkeys does
show the keycode. Other keys (touchpad toggle, zoom in, zoom out, vaio)
indeed don't work.

1) home - my router, fast and reliable network
2) beeline-wifi-free - free, but slow network
3) work - router at work, as good as 1st
So, when I am at my home, I can see 1st and 2nd networks. Home is preferred,
not beeline.

I can confirm this bug.
I have 6 desktops - 3*2, when I peek a window from desk (1, 1) and drag
it to left down corner of desk (1, 2), or right up of (3, 1), or right
down of (3, 2). I can't see one corner of it.
