I believe the problem was caused by an earlier installation of a
linuxant modem driver, or possibly the use of linuxant's utility
scanModem.
I ran scanModem, which did not detect my modem, a Zoom 56K USB modem.
After some digging around, I downloaded and installed what appeared to

Firefox will only open in a popup window not in a regular window. Seamonkey
works fine. Any suggestions?
