I made only a small adjustment: I didn't install gcc-4.1 because the
newer version (gcc-4.2) was already installed on my machine. This newer
version seem to be also OK for the toolbar bookmark feature working
correctly with Ubuntu 8.04.1 and the Firefox from the Ubuntu rep

Some days before I installed the Google Toolbar for Firefox
3.1.20080605L (which is now compatible with Firefox 3.0. Everything seem
to work fine except the bookmarks feature. Normally, clicking Bookmarks
on the Toolbar should show all my book

Bookmarks feature
I confirm this bug with Ubuntu 8.04 on an 32 bit machine with CanoScan
LiDE 60. Xsane works when running with sudo. I did install the Samsung
CLP-300 Unified Linux Driver (ver.2.00.97), which might be part of the
reason. Would be great, if this could be solved by an simple patch.
