Just a note I only had what was automatically installed with Ubuntu after

I am running Lucid beta1 and I had the same problem so as you suggested I
booted using liveCD Karmic 9.10 and was able to format the sd card.
Proceeded to retry this with Lucid and this time it did work just fine.
The funny thing is that prior this I tried over a dozen times and could not?
this definitely does not feel right and I did switch back the controls to the
right
otherwise it was something I hated might be good for the lefty..??

I tried it and I also have the mail preference html messages set up to
show image animation as well as always load image from the internet just
in case and still is no go.

It does it every single time
every time there is a email copy in my sent folder and if I delete the
sent email copy , the trash can will not empty any sent copy email but
it will do it for any others so far.

(Hardy) I have a LCD Acer x193w ATI radeon 8500LE (R200)
Both during boot and shut down I get a floating message input not supported
BUt Ubuntu does loads
I just switch my drivers to ATI as the Ubuntu howto shows to do it

I am a newbie so not 100% sure it is the same problem.
I have HP6100C connected to a PCI SCSI card Adaptec AHA2940U it was
working fine if Feisty, Gutsy but since I have upgraded to Hardy the
screen that use to come up at the beginning to load the SCSI does not.
