Looking through the recent comments, it seems that deleting
~/.freedp/known_hosts (or using FQDN) solves the problem.

I have 9.10 installed on a Thinkpad T42.. I hibernate every day, and
have never had any problems, although I do see the "failed to thaw error
-16" message every time.

Same with me - I've just upgraded from Kubuntu Feisty to Gutsy Beta.
To reproduce:
* Open dolphin (System Menu -> Home Folder)
* Change the view mode to "Previews"
* View Menu -> Zoom Out.
Expected Behaviour: Icons get smaller
Actual Behaviour: Crash
Possibly Related: (split into a separate bug?
The problem is still there when using the profile I attached earlier. I
tried renaming downloads.rdf as wombat suggested, but it made no
difference - same symptoms, and a new downloads.rdf file was NOT created
by firefox.
I don't think downloads.rdf is the cause of this problem for me.

I had no sound after hibernating my Feisty Thinkpad R51. Reboot, and
cold start didn't fix the problem (I didn't try removing the battery,
however).
