I've tried next config: defaults.pcm.dmix.rate 44100 #to avoid wrong rate pcm.test { type asym playback.pcm { type plug slave.pcm "dmix:USB" } capture.pcm { type plug slave.pcm "dsnoop:USB" } } and got the same result... music sounds like 8 bit.
