Hi
I don't get any sound after installing Ubuntu version.
Description:Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
Release:10.04
for my inbuilt sound card which lspci and asound shows as follows:
lspci | grep -i audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset
Confirmed on Ubuntu 9.10 also.
I have 2 monitors set up with the following in xorg.conf
Section "ServerLayout"
Identifier "aticonfig Layout"
Screen 0 "Default Screen" 0 0
EndSection
Section "Files"
EndSection
Section "Module"
Load "gLcore"
Load "glx"

Sorry. I no longer have that laptop either. I had to return it back to
my previous office

Video playback flickers .
I have a ATI Technologies Inc M56P [Radeon Mobility X1600]
Its on a Compaq nx9420 laptop.
The video card (video playback) works perfectly well in Ubuntu 8.04
But this problem occurs in the 9.04 beta and also in 8.10
