Kubuntu 8.04 - Kde Trash Applet - No empty Menu
I have noticed something :
1 - When I delete a file/folder in a normal way (left click - delete,
or with Keyboard) - i have the grey menu entry and cannot empty folder.
2 - When I slide a file I want to delete over the trash icon, the entry
menu is here again.
If i redo 1 after 2 = grey menu

I completely agree with Andrea, D3lphin should not be the default for
file manager.
when i install kubuntu for someone i remove dolphin, there are so many
bug, and konqueror is solid and has many more functionality

Cutting and pasting files with Dolphin does not work properly
that's why konqueror should be set back as default filer manager,
dolphin is not stable/fixed enough for the next kubuntu release.

in fact i had a problem with direct rendering and my 82845G Intel
graphic card.
DRI was not ON
glxinfo | grep direct rendering
direct rendering: No
with this :
sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-dri
sudo /etc/init.d/kdm restart
it works great, this package should be install by default on
installing : openoffice.org-gtk openoffice.org-gnome worked for me.

i have the same problem with a :

i have tried with i810 and Intel Drivers
my command is : compiz --replace
but the error is :

fix for feisty and not for edgy?
The bug was flagged for edgy at first.
And honestly who cares about feisty at that time ?

i solved it doing a force:
sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite
/var/cache/apt/archives/showfoto_1%3a0.8.2-2ubuntu1_i386.deb
but please fix it for the non_console adept. kubuntu is not designed for
geek.

yes - confirmed too same things happened
but it looks like showfoto is in digikamimageplugins
digikamimageplugins - image editor plugins for digikam and showfoto
but i can't find it anywhere after install... and it looks like it opens
when you are in digikam, but not as a stand-alone
