I tried to install Tomboy from both add/remove in Applications, and through Synaptic. Add/remove failed. Synaptic told me I needed old libraries. Did that. Tomboy came up once, without recognizing any of my prior notes, when I called it up through a terminal window. But since then--nothing.

In the feisty AMD64 repository, Tomboy is only at version 0.4.1. I did not make a note of which library it did not use. So I un-installed it, upgraded all my packages, and re-installed it. This time Tomboy did not complain about the libraries, but Tomboy 0.4.1 still installs, and still does
