aticonfig --acpi-services=off doesn't fix the problem with 9.4 or 9.5
(4870x2, jaunty 64) but catalyst 9.6 are working without any tricks for
me.

- I updated my Ubuntu to the latest Intrepid Alpha 6. On reboot, after the new
progress completes, my screen flashes a couple of times and all I get after
that is a messed up screen with a blurry text saying something like Asus. It
just hangs there.

9.4). Jaunty RC. Video card 4870x2.
Need recovery mode : apt-get remove fglrx* and reboot.
