The problem seem to have gone away when updating to the first 12.04 beta.

Currently xulrunner is installed to a directory with minor version (at time of
writing this /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.2.8).
However it's not in the library path and programs using it (such as couchdb)
can't find the library.

That the libraries are not in the default library path and you should
set LD_LIBARAY_PATH to use them. IIRC some of the installed packages are
doing that.

I've tried to follow the directions in

CD/DVD.
Started sudo /media/cdrom/cdromupgrade and told the installer not to use the
network.
It complained about not being able to validate some packages

When working on psyco, we need to run the whole test suite to make sure it
doesn't break anything in Python.
So yes, we need *everything*. Maybe a new package python-dev-tests?
