i'm mostly on mac os x but i toy with linux
i'm on gutsy now and have had successes and failures with wifi
anything specific you're wondering.

i used ndiswrapper with my bcm4306 to load the bcmwl5.inf driver and i
blacklisted the 43xx that feisty had loaded initially.
before ndiswrapper the card would show up but not see any networks.
now with the bcmwl5.inf, it sees the card and the card sees the networks
