ok. I reinstalled chromium second times. And now it is working fine.
Maybe the occurence of the posted bug is related to the way I first updated the
bookmarks and logon-data from my older chromium-installation of my
ubuntu-version 11.10 (actual version is 12.04). I just copied the old
.config/c
to reproduce:
-install chromium-browser
-open it via Alt-F2 "chromium-browser"
-make the launcher-icon stay in the launcher
-test it
Actually I couldn't reproduce it myself: when I now start chromium no icon
appears at all...
But the browser-window can be found via -w.

launcher-icon as well as the window-switcher via Alt-TAB do not recognice an
opened browser-window. If you loose the window out of your focus on the
desktop, it could not be accessed anymore as if it has been closed. But "ps ax
| grep chromium-browser" shows that the proces
here is the exemple a second time with notes where exactly the problems
appear...
