I can confirm this bug, it seems that nvidia is boikoting ubuntu ;) as 11.04 is
pretty unusable with its drivers
It existed with the latests nvidia drivers from xorg ppa in 10.10
However using the older driver avaliable (173) in 11.04 also gives a nasty bug
as you can see in the following screen
I can confirm this bug with kubuntu hardy, this is the output from a console:
In the meanwhile, I use gdebi-gtk for the same purpose, wich runs ok
$ gdebi-kde pydza_v108.deb

Public bug reported:
Hi, this is a kubuntu gutsy pc,
I installed a clean kde4.0 from ppa.
it's always updated and upgraded
I use kataput very often in 3.5.8, I expected keyboard shortcuts like alt+f2 to
show krunner in kde4 but it does not.
krunner is running yet in the background, and it shows
Maybe it is time to close this bug, if nobody else complains about it.
It seemed to appear only in ubuntu 6.10 and/or 7.04
Deleting the .xine folder solved the problem
