Public bug reported:
I have at the moment 114 instances of indicator-sound-service running.
I can get rid of them by running sudo killall indicator-sound-service.
After which, in about two seconds, 114 new indicator-sound-service processes
are started.
$ ps aux | grep indicator-sound-service |
Hey all
I can confirm that the patch works on kernel 2.6.35.
Thanks to Marcin.
However after suspend/resume the touchpad stops working. To fix this you have
to reload the psmouse module:
sudo modprobe -r psmouse sudo modprobe psmouse

I have the same problem. I have a script, -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1832
2010-09-01 04:52 /etc/pm/sleep.d/15_saving
which is symlinked from lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 25 2010-09-01 04:20
/etc/pm/power.d/15_saving - /etc/pm/sleep.d/15_saving
I can (sudo) run the script myself, and see that its changes
And now it's working again --please disregard previous message.

Stupid noob question here: every time I reboot, to install Andrew
Skalski's modified psmouse.ko, I have to sudo rmmod psmouse; sudo insmod
psmouse.ko.
How can I get Skalski's psmouse.ko loaded automatically?

This bug also affects my Acer Timeline 1830T-3721.
I'm running the 64-bit version of Lucid (Kubuntu KDE); uname -a shows:
Linux xxx 2.6.32-24-generic #41-Ubuntu SMP Thu Aug 19 01:38:40 UTC 2010 x86_64
GNU/Linux
Applying Andrew Skalski's psmouse.ko in comment #154 is a partial, and very
much
Correction: I wrote Applying Andrew Skalski's psmouse.ko in comment
#154, I should have written comment #152.
