I'm using Ubuntu 11.10, with a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.0.2
I cannot get USB support to work with either Media Device (MTP) which
gives no response at all, or Camera (PTP) which will trigger a camera
icon. When clicking "open" on the icon, I get a window with a "Galaxy"
title in Nautil
Same problem showed up after several weeks of no prior problem with
Lucid. Now it is a problem with Lucid using Gnome 2.30.0 Kernel
2.6.32-22-generic, (64-bit) AMD Phenom II X2 550 processor. Power
button is the only way to shut down, and I have to push it twice.

Regarding Peter's suggested solution, the correct syntax would be:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="i915.powersave=0"
Otherwise, update-grub returns an error.
