When attempting to install lubuntu 16.10 amd64 desktop;
I tried to install with uefi - secureboot enabled, and that failed.
so tried again, with uefi, but with secure boot turned off , that failed too.

I had this problem with lubuntu 16.10 using efi & secure boot.
Install worked ok with "ubuntu" 16.10, with efi mode with secure boot turned off
By bios version is Aspire es1-411

Installed using lubuntu 16.10 desktop amd64.
Used 'DD' to write the ISO to a 8gb usb thumbdrive , then booted from the USB
drive.
Using UEFI mode boot, with secure boot OFF.
Install fails during the installation of grub.
Laptop details:
Celeron N2820
1000 gb HDD
4 GB Ram
