This upstream fix is missing from the package in the Trusty repository.
This causes programs which depend upon these headers to fail to build on

Same problem. Manually driving the display at 1280x1024 as suggested by
post #7 does not fix the issue in 14.04. 12.04 performance was fine.

Well into "Installing base system" somewhere around console-setup the
