Well, the Ubuntu upgrade caused me to lose access to an important tool (apparently not because of a bug but on purpose, so all the worse) - so I think this is a good place to mention solutions. However XFE does not seem to have any way to modify metadata. And Dolphin has metadata but does not

[Bug 874071] [NEW] numeric keyboard shortcuts don't work

Public bug reported: Any sound or music has a strange stuttering about every 5-10 seconds. Not the usual buffer underrun noise but the volume changes for a moment. When I run pavucontrol and go to the Output Devices tab I can see how the Port dropbox switches to Analog Headphones for a moment
