Hi all, i have the same failure in Oneiric fresh install on a Asus
UL30Vt, Intel Core duo 64 bit. It is not possible to start krename.
What do you log-files need?

works for me.
You have to choose this kernel on booting the pc (after download and
install).

PS: We have to wait for a stable kernel, the kernels 2.6.38 and 2.6.39 are
little bit buggy i
With the new 2.6.39 and the old 2.6.37 Kernel there are no slow internet
connection problems.

Have same problems on Asus UL30VT on Natty Beta 2 64 (last updates 16.04).
Internet connecton is very slow around 126 kB to 1100 kB. I have a 16000kbits
line. No Internet problems on lucid (only wlan weakness somtimes).

After the update since yesterday the standby failure is in the whole
cleared, im happy.
The only thing is that the screen becomes black during pluggings in/out
battery and AC, that is really a smaller problem as going standby.
