too. Most things work pretty well, but VMware disables 3D acceleration
because my graphics card is unknown, and runs extremely slowly. Both
the VGA and the internal screen show up as unclaimed on lshw

I don't know how to change the status, but the xserver-xorg-video-intel
2.9 on Ubuntu Karmic is still unclaimed on my Dell Studio 15 when I
check 'lshw -C display'.
Performance is still a little laggy, I'm using compiz but a lot of the
animations lag pretty easily, and VMware always gives me an er

Having this problem on karmic as well. I was using noapic and nomodeset
options on boot, and all the multimedia and eject and lid closing keys
worked, and it went into hiberation and came out perfectly, but I was
messing with the 'xserver-xorg-video-intel' driver and it hasn't been
working since I
I fixed the problem by rolling back some mesa related drivers from the
x-updates PPA. Once I did that everything worked fine again.
I knew it was weird that I couldn't find any information on this, close
this bug sorry I should have tried rolling back these updates first.

Your 'meager efforts' have fixed it for me, thanks man!
As a side note, the command has to be entered after restarting. You can
add an entry to Preferences > Startup Programs to run the command on
startup.

I'm trying to use ccsm to keep cairo-dock and awn above the ubuntu
panels. I can use the 'grab' button to grab one or the other and it
works, but when using grab to add more than one it breaks the whole line
and neither work
