Title:
package cyrus-common-2.4 2.4.12-2 failed to install/upgrade:
ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned
The problem was tracked down three months ago, the sound juice
developers released a fix, and it's still not fixed in Lucid? I'm not
sure what the S in LTS stands for.

Ubuntu just pushed 2.30.3 as an upgrade. Why can't we get the Maverick
version? The one without a privacy/security hole? Lucid is supposed to
be an LTS release. I don't think the idea is to force users of an LTS
release to use defective software longer than everyone else.

Binary package hint: empathy
The current lucid version of empathy, listed by ubuntu as 2.30.0,
automatically and without warning logs all chats. There is not option
to disable the logging. This is a significant privacy and security
problem.
I believe that in the current

Thanks Sebastien, but I don't particularly want to use Gnome 2.32. I
would simply like a version of empathy without the huge privacy/security
hole in it. Auto-logging every chat, combined with the fact that the
logs are in a hidden folder, seems like a bug to me. It probably seemed
like a bug

@ sebastien
It won't allow selection of any AIM contacts either. Does empathy
support filetransfert for AOL?

I agree with Tom's overall point. This is a serious usability problem
for people where I work. We use a script as a partial workaround but
it's impossible to make the script work everywhere. This really should
be fixed before the LTS.

The NAS shares are mounted using fstab. Here's the relevant line from

Yikes. I believe that as of the recent fuse/samba update (this AM),
this bug is back in Karmic with OO 3.1.
Open a spreadsheet from an NAS in OO
Save the spreadsheet back to the NAS, (there seems to be a short freeze after
what looks in OO like a normal save) quit OO

I agree with Tars. This isn't an autocomplete bug. It happens on any
entry into the address bar after a pause in using Firefox. #11 is a
workaround.

Here's the link for reporting an empathy bug. This one is sort of
reported but not as well as you did it:

The closest report is filed as related to windows:
I can confirm a similar if not identical problem. The update apparently
changed or corrupted the standard chrome files. Similar problem with
chrome for account settings/server dialog.
