I can confirm this. Our production relies on this therefore this is very
urgent.
Netinstall loads the components, then tries to detect the disk and then
crashes.
This worked perfectly well yesterday afternoon.
Is there any workaround?

It was caused by eset antivirus.
all packages were failing to install or upgrade.
as contacted with eset costumer care and they are going to release the
fix in next update.

I have Pidgin 2.6.6 and this just happened to me but I didn't offline
message anyone I joined a (fairly large) IRC room and it seemed to
happen right after that. I was unable to reproduce it.
