Updating the BIOS on a laptop with no CD and no Windows is a PITA.
It took me an hour to get it right.

Not having this is so 1990. This is a GIGANTIC part of the ubuntu phone
sales pitch. I wish I was able to help more than just supporting this

i have exactly the same problem and sometimes during a call the phone will just
reset back to the ubuntu loading screen and cut the call and has once had the
phone call still running but usually just cuts the call
