theme. For a temporary workaround you can try a different theme by
going to the 3rd tab of the Theme settings page, and changing the

I have been upgrading this laptop over the years starting from ubuntu 8.
So far I have not been able to automount my disk however. I noticed in

Thanks for the answer, I was having the same problem and could not
figure out why. However, I was trying to encrypt the /home during
install and it did not occur to me that could be the cause.

Testing Xubuntu 20110705. After the initial steps were completed with no
difficulty, the process of mounting the live system hung with a black
screen (I allowed ten minutes for some action to occur, but none did).

The attempted LiveCD test was based on a physical CD (checked for
consistency with the original image) on a Compaq C700 laptop which had
no difficulty in dealing with the equivalent tests for Ubuntu and
Kubuntu.
