When I try installing libutouch-frame1 it tells me I already have the latest version. But I still have a cursor that jumps around like crazy intermittently locks up until I press Alt or Esc or some other key combination. I have a Synaptics touchpad, am using 11.04 amd64. -- You received this

Just wanted to add that the exact same thing happens to me too (Ubuntu 11.04 AMD64 on a brand new Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop), even when I boot from the live CD or in recovery mode. While that error message: fsck from util-linux-ng 2.17.2 is being displayed, the screen flashes continuously as
