This is not a bug, but results from the new debian vim guidelines (http ://pkg-vim.alioth.debian.org/vim-policy.html/index.html). You need to install your vim addons via the command vim-addons of the package vim-addon-manager (apt-get install vim-addon-manager). See vim-addons -h for help. As
