So i can pretty much say there is a sound card installed hardware wise and the 
kernel module is included and loaded?
The specific motherboard this is for is shown using the sysinfo app it also 
confirms the information above.
So i am guessing this must be software related?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i only discovered this issue
after installing 12.04 from scratch and tried watching some films with
no sound output?
