Public bug reported:

this has happened for the last few versions of (x)ubuntu, still exists
in 12.04.

gphoto2 talks to canon 40D over USB in PTP mode. Most things work, but
"delete file" (-d) or any command leading to a delete (eg --capture-
image-and-upload) will fail catastrophically:

* the operation does not wok
* gphoto2 will not work again
* weirdly my wifi USB card stops working and won't be coaxed back into life
without a reboot.

I get the same problem deleting a file on the camera using gphotofs

Today I found a fix -- fetched libgphoto2-2.4.14 and gphoto2-2.4.14 from
sources and compiled (against libusb-1.0.0)
and I can cheerfully delete files without destroying my network.

I don't understand the procedures involved, but can we please get this version
of libgphoto2 into (x)ubuntu?
thanks
