I have also seen this problem.
After manually fixing the file path in .config/transmission/settings.json it
reoccurred at the next torrent download.

This bug is particularly annoying as it keeps respawning the bugged
folder even if I delete the transmission settings.
I've done a recursive search with find but I couldn't find any files
under my home folder that contained the name of the directory - this bug
is extremely hard to find without
