I've recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 for the first time (never used it
before) and for some reason I can't shut down nor restart the computer.
Basically it's just as if I clicked "Log Out" instead of "Shut Down" -
it appears the option to type my password and enter Ubuntu, but the PC
never really shuts down.
PS: Please understand that I'm totally new at Ubuntu (besides not being
exactly excellent at working with computers), so I don't really know
what you asking me to do at point 1) of the "we also need" section.
