For what it's worth, I just installed and tried 3.5.0-rc7.
It did not provide any wireless connection either.
So back to 3.2.0

Now I need a way to remove the 3.5.0 kernel, or at least a way to access
what I used to know as a 'menu.lst', so that I can go back to using the
previously installed kernel which at least gave me 2.4 GHz
