Can confirm this issue occurs on Ubuntu 12.10 when trying to Sync with
my Galaxy Nexus (stock 4.1.2).
To reproduce:
Start Rhythmbox -> Connect phone -> Right click on Media player in sidebar ->
Select properties
Terminal output:

Got this message from rhythmbox when trying to sync with my Galaxy s3:

I just bought an S3 today and I can verify that this is a problem on
12.04 LTS fully up to date.
If I mount the phone in PTP mode Rhythmbox won't see it, but if I mount
it in MTP mode it shows up as "Media Player" above.
Manually moving files to and from the device works just fine, but

Title:
Rhythmbox freezes on "Media Player" context menu > "Pro
In fact, it seems that any interaction with the phone at all will cause
problems. Dragging music to it will cause a freeze quickly followed by a
crash.
I'm unsure how to get apport to submit the error report to this bug.
