im sorry for the long delay for answering. I cant say that command is
usefull, as i was only "curious" about the sound settings on my desktop,
and found that command, nothing more. So maybe you can silent it or
tweak the gnome-media description or ...

I have the same problem too in Wheezy (Debian 7).
It is ok when run "gstreamer-properties" at first time
and I got this error after second time.
$ gstreamer-properties
(gstreamer-properties:4804): Gtk-WARNING **: Unknown property: GtkDialog

(gstreamer-properties:4804): Gtk-WARNING
well, I didn't realize we were still shipping it and it seems like
something we might want to drop, but since you opened this bug it seems
you are using it, could you explain how it's useful to you? trying to
figure if dropping it would be an error if it's still being useful for
some users...

if you feel this package outdated, or simply of no interest, then feel
free to declare it as such and invalidate this report. I was only
curious about this output command, and wondering if we need to care or
not about it.
