In my previous install of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, I could install VirtualBox
without problems.
I did a reinstall with 12.04.2 which ships 3.5 kernel, and VirtualBox
kernel module will compile anymore.
I wonder why the bug is "Fix released" considering that I updated the
distribution before installing V
Its not so much that by jumping through hoops virtual box can be made to
work again, its that this is a LTS release that breaks when updated. The
impression of stability is the primary reason I use this distribution. I
can have virtualbox broken weekly with many other distributions too.

I've done a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04.2 on 2 machines with the same
problem installing VirtualBox on both. Both are the x86_64 version. Both
were updated and rebooted before installing.
