Public bug reported:

When downloading files the WiFi becomes uncommunicative.  Disconnecting
and reconnecting WiFi renables the network but the problem does not go
away.

I've performed two fresh installs of 12.04 both having same problem.
System is dual boot with Windows 7 which experiences no network
problems.
