yup, I have also seen that. I have seen that the mouse is not so responsive while clicking the forward button one has to click couple of times or strain oneself, but I think that would be a different bug than the one file filed in here. The bug is specifically for the crash which is not happening

I had the same problem with Feisty Beta (alternate CD install right BEFORE any updates). After filling out the comments after the lastest test, the application stopped responding and went crashing a few monents after that. Apart from the hwdb-gui, only a terminal was running... i will try again,
