Public bug reported:

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X220; im using Ubuntu precise with the xorg-
edgers repo enabled.

I install updates once or twice per week. Today after installing
updates including an updated Xorg server and updated graphics driver
files I have noticed that if the display is allowed to be put into
powersave by the laptop due to inactivity it is impossible to wake the
screen without changing to a vterm and sudo killall Xorg 'ing.

I am a fairly technical user and with good instructions am able to file
further details if needed.
