The Quantal kernel will be rebased to v3.5-rc7 shortly. When it is, it
would be great if you could confirm this bug is resolved.

The latest Quantal kernel has be re-based to upstream v3.5-rc7. Can
folks affected by this bug upgrade, and report back if this bug is
fixed?

To manage
Kernel version 3.2.0-24-generic also did not work, which I find very odd
as I swore it had worked then.
I also had kernel version 3.2.0-23-generic on the machine, so I tried
that one and it worked, but the usb errors are still to be found in the
kernel log.
