Public bug reported: Currently, gwibber has no internal method for clearing message history. The message buildup, over time, ends up slowing gwibber to a crawl. A simple "delete messages older than 'x' days" option needs to be added.
On www.askubuntu.com, the prefered method of deleting gwibber history is to install an additional program (sqlitebrowser).
