Title:
VLC audio out of sync on pausin
I just watched a video on my local drive (normaly use a network drive). It gave
no problem.
So I checked the buffer. it is 300ms.
For Network I do have 3000 ms.
When I pause my local movie 20 times. no problem at all.
When I open the local file with 3000ms buffer. I get the same error.
So the prob
idem 2.05
Can be solved by for example shift + arrow left.
Also if your buffer is very high, you can hear the video + audio stop and after
that continue for the set buffer time.

This is a known PulseAudio bug. For some unknown reasons, PA sometimes
triggers the VLC stream about 2 seconds later than requested. According
to reports, this disappears with tsched=0 (I never reproduced the bug
myself).
See also https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=141796
and https://trac.
Please provide the VLC verbose logs. I am not able to reproduce your
problem from the simplistic description.

I'd rather recommend taking 2.0.3, which is nearly identical to 2.0.2 as far as
Linux is concerned. Basically, it has two minor security fixes:
