Public bug reported:

Regardless of the login manager (lightdm, gdm, kdm) using Kerberos (5)
for authentication with LDAP and NFS (autofs5) fails and seems to
traceback to DBus in one way or another (but this is the first crash
report that has been produced despite our logs intimating the connection
to DBus).

Each time anyone on our system tries to login, auth.log shows the
attempt as successful but after the login manager tries to transfer
control to the desktop environment (or window manager), nothing happens.
Unity, Gnome, KDE, wmii, WindowMaker, AfterStep, Blackbox all fail to
load.

At times we will stop the login manager service (e.g., service gdm stop)
and later in the logs a DBus segfault will appear depending on which
login manager we tried.
