Public bug reported: I made yesterday a fresh installation of Quantal "Daily Build" on my Toshiba AC100. At first start I launch "apt-get install nvidia-tegra" And then restart ...
... but it seems that server X (or lightdm) desn't want to start (black screen ... purple screen ... black screen ... purple screen ... black screen ... purple screen ... ) There is a strange line at end of Xorg log file : "TEGRA(0): LVDS-1: error querying display modes: no such device." (3 times) I disabled lightdm with "echo manual | sudo tee -a /etc/init/gdm.override" and restart. I launch "startx", it seems to start (but without all icons/menus) but crash very quickly at first windows open with "seqmentation fault" text (following by errors about tegra20-i2c) ** Affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers-tegra (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1029343 Title: X server crash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-tegra/+bug/1029343/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
