For me this was resolved in Gutsy final and has been working just fine

I don't know if somebody took a look to this bug from Brian's initial
confirmation but, in any case, it still exists on 2.6.20-16-generic (last
Feisty update until now).
I tried to give a try to Gubsy Gibson to see if in new 2.6.22 kernel this bug
is fixed but with 2.6.22 my system doesn't boot,
Still remains with:

I have a Initio9100 SCSI PCI Card on my PC and I think when Initio module is
