Public bug reported:

gnome-settings-daemons uses excessive memory and lets the CAPS LOCK LED
on my USB keyboard flicker.

I have added lsof output in case it helps.

I have tried to grab a core dump, the latter didn't work (i. e. no core
file), so no backtraces for a state. strace seemed innocuous to me.
