Public bug reported: A user process crashed, and Linux switched from GUI to a text terminal, to show the error message. So I thought that was a kernel panic, and rebooted PC. When that happened for a second time, I've just switched back to GUI mode by pressing Alt-F7, and continued to use my PC. So, it would be nice if kernel would print some clear instruction, like:
This is not a kernel panic. Dismiss this message by pressing Alt-F7. Or, as an alternative, do not output any messages to kernel log when a user process crashes, or other recoverable error happens. The abusing process is the Adobe Flash player, and it crashes in a rather bad way, by corrupting it's memory. Kernel does not print similar debug messages for other crashed processes.
