Well, I am having this problem in gutsy, the taskbar is showing all
windows in all viewports even if I change the config

As I'm the third person to observe this behavior, I confirm this bug.
I'm runnig current feisty (updated as of April 9) with desktop
effects/cube enabled.
Files open from nautilus (and terminal, see another comment) are shown
